INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY 2018 #PINPURPLE2018

Understanding the urgent need to create a platform that would promote the abolishment of the inhumane and degrading treatments Epileptics are subjected to within the Nigerian Communities, we birthed the #PinUpPurple2018.

 

#PinUpPurple2018 is a platform to commensurate the International Epilepsy Day 2018. It will feature media coverage by indigenous news outlets and create effective media and public engagement.

We aim to focus on raising awareness, addressing myths, misconception and stigmatisation faced by sufferers of Epilepsy and caretakers of Epileptics across all media including Radio, TV, Newspapers and Digital media.

It is our expectation that we can build a strong community of informed Epileptics and their supporters irrespective of individual backgrounds and seizure triggers through this platform.
