Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Coetara Technologies Limited (RC 9795159), a company incorporated in Nigeria. Coetara Technologies Limitedowns and operates Tickethub.ng. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Tickethub.ng" mean Coetara Technologies Limited.
By accessing or using the Tickethub.ng website, dashboards, check-in tools, embeddable widgets, APIs or any related service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, church, school or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. Definitions
- Account. A registered profile on Tickethub.ng, identified by an email address.
- Organiser. An account that creates and sells a Listing, receives payouts, and is responsible for delivering what was sold.
- Attendee. A person who buys, receives or registers for a Ticket.
- Access Manager. A person an Organiser authorises to scan and validate Tickets at entry. An Access Manager can operate the door for a specific Event but does not have full Organiser rights.
- Event. A dated gathering listed on the platform, whether free or paid, single day or multi-day.
- Listing. Anything an Organiser publishes on Tickethub.ng. Today that means an Event, a Community, an Experience, a Service listing, or a Vendor listing. The listing types available to you depend on your plan.
- Community. An ongoing group with members, a feed, resources and optional paid membership dues.
- Experience. A bookable session or activity with seats, run on a schedule rather than as a one-off Event.
- Ticket. The right to attend, evidenced by a ticket code and where applicable a QR code, together with any add-ons such as meals, lounge or parking.
- Promoter.A person who promotes an Organiser's Event through a tracked personal link for commission the Organiser sets.
- Platform fee. The amount we charge on a paid sale, as set out in section 8.
3. What Tickethub.ng is
Tickethub.ng is a Nigerian event commerce and event operations platform. Organisers create Listings, sell Tickets, run check-in, manage attendees and request payouts. Attendees discover events, buy Tickets and recover bookings. We also support communities, experiences, promoters, vendors and platform referrals where those features are enabled for your account. We provide the software and the payment plumbing. We are not the Organiser of Events listed by third parties unless we clearly say so on the Listing itself.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or over to hold an Account or buy a Ticket.
- You must give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date. Fake names, borrowed identities and throwaway details put payouts and refunds at risk.
- You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your Account. Tell us immediately at hi@tickethub.ng if you think someone else has access. We strongly recommend switching on two-factor authentication.
- We may require identity verification (KYC) before we release a payout, raise a limit, or grant a verified badge. That can include a government identity document, proof of address, a selfie, your Bank Verification Number, and for a business the CAC certificate. Until verification is complete a payout can be held.
- One person or organisation, one Account. Duplicate accounts created to evade limits, fees or a suspension may be closed.
5. Ticket purchases
When you buy a Ticket, your contract for the Event is with the Organiser, not with us. We take the payment, issue the Ticket, and give the Organiser the tools to admit you. Sales are subject to availability, to the Organiser's rules, and to any age, dress or entry restrictions shown on the Listing.
A Ticket is personal to you. Do not post your QR code publicly. A Ticket that has already been scanned cannot be scanned again, so if you share the code and someone else uses it first, you may be refused entry. Reselling a Ticket above face value, or in breach of the Organiser's rules, may lead us to void it.
6. Organiser responsibilities
If you list on Tickethub.ng, you are the seller and the event operator. You are responsible for:
- Accurate Listings, including date, time, venue, line-up, what is included and what is not.
- Running a lawful, safe event, and holding whatever permits, licences, insurance and security arrangements the venue and the law require.
- Delivering what you sold, and honouring the refund rules you published.
- Your own tax and regulatory compliance, including any VAT or entertainment tax that applies.
- Answering your attendees, before and after the event.
- Handling attendee data lawfully. You are the controller of the attendee data you collect through our tools. See section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
You must not list illegal, fraudulent, misleading or harmful content, and you must not create duplicate Listings for the same event. We may remove a Listing, hide it from discovery, or withhold a payout while we investigate abuse, a pattern of complaints, or an unresolved dispute.
7. Access Managers and door access
An Organiser can grant Access Manager rights so that staff or volunteers can scan Tickets at the door. An Access Manager can see the guest list and check-in status for the Event they were granted, because they cannot do the job otherwise. The Organiser chooses who gets that access and is responsible for it. That includes vetting the people you grant it to, briefing them on handling attendee details, removing access as soon as the event ends or a person leaves your team, and any misuse of the guest list by someone you authorised. Do not share a single door login between people. If an Access Manager account is compromised, tell us at once and remove the access.
8. Fees and payments
Ticket prices are set by Organisers. Paid tickets on Launch are 6% + ₦100 per ticket. Grow and Scale plans offer lower rates. Free events carry no Tickethub.ng platform fee. The current fee schedule and plan prices are shown on the Pricing page, and the rate that applies to you is the rate for the plan your Account is on when the sale completes.
Organisers choose whether the fee is passed to the buyer or absorbed by the Organiser. Where it is passed on, it is shown at checkout before payment. Some products carry their own rate, for example paid community membership dues, and that rate is shown where the product is set up.
Payments are processed through Paystack and any other provider we enable. Payment providers charge their own transaction costs, which are separate from our platform fee.
Payouts are not instant. Nigerian payment rails involve reviews, bank limits and risk checks that vary by card type and bank. We may hold a payout pending identity verification, a refund or chargeback investigation, an unresolved attendee dispute, or a suspected breach of these terms. We will tell you why. See the Refund Policy for how fees are treated when a refund happens. We may change our fees or plan prices, and we will give reasonable notice before a change takes effect for you.
9. Promoters and referrals
Event promotersearn commission set by an Organiser when ticket sales are attributed to their personal link (tickethub.ng/event-slug/handle). Commission comes from the Organiser's net after platform fees, subject to plan caps and access levels.
Platform affiliate and referrals are separate: they relate to referring new Organisers to Tickethub.ng, not selling tickets for a specific Event. Campaign and UTM links may track marketing without paying commission.
Attribution relies on cookies and tracked links, and it lasts for a limited window. We may withhold or reverse commission on sales that are refunded, charged back, self-referred, or generated by spam, bought traffic or misleading claims about an event.
10. Acceptable use
You may not scrape, attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, bypass a paywall or a gate, harvest personal data, spam buyers or Organisers, impersonate anyone, upload malware, or use the platform for money laundering, fraud or any other crime. Automated access requires our written permission, except for ordinary browsers, approved integrations, and the crawlers we allow in our robots file. Do not use our brand, logo or content in a way that suggests we endorse you when we do not.
11. Intellectual property and your content licence
Tickethub.ng branding, software, page designs, help content and data compilations belong to Coetara Technologies Limited or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
You keep ownership of your content. Organisers retain all rights in the Listings, text, images, videos, line-ups and branding they upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display size and format, publish and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform and your Listing. That includes showing it on discovery pages, in search results, in our embeddable widgets, in emails to attendees, and in reasonable promotion of your Event on our own channels.
The licence lasts while your content is on the platform, and for a reasonable period afterwards to the extent we need it for backups, records of a completed transaction, or an attendee's historic ticket. You confirm you own or have permission to use everything you upload, including photographs of performers and third-party artwork.
12. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not expressly stated in these terms, whether implied by statute or otherwise. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful code, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features.
Most importantly: Tickethub.ng is not the Organiser. We do not produce, host, staff, secure or supervise the events listed on the platform. We do not vet the truth of every claim an Organiser makes, and we do not warrant that any Event will take place as advertised, on the date advertised, at the venue advertised, with the line-up advertised, or at all. The contract for attendance is between the Attendee and the Organiser. Any dispute about an Event, its quality, its safety or its cancellation is between you and the Organiser, and you should raise it with them first.
We do screen Listings automatically and we act on reports, but that screening is a risk reduction measure and not a guarantee. Use your own judgement before buying, especially for a new Organiser or an unusually cheap ticket.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality, safety or legality of third-party events, the accuracy of Organiser Listings, an Organiser's failure to deliver, or the acts of any Attendee, Promoter, Access Manager or venue.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, expected savings, goodwill, business opportunity, or data, however it arises.
Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the platform, taken together, is limited to the greater of: the total fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and ₦50,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.
14. Indemnity
If you are an Organiser, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coetara Technologies Limited, its directors, employees and contractors, against all claims, demands, losses, damages, fines and reasonable legal costs arising out of or connected with:
- Your Event, including its cancellation, postponement, safety, security and conduct.
- Your Listings and content, including any claim that they infringe someone's intellectual property, publicity or privacy rights.
- Your handling of attendee data, including any breach of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or any other data protection law, any complaint from an attendee about how you used their details, and any misuse by a person you granted access to.
- Your breach of these terms, or of any law, permit or licence that applies to your Event.
- Any tax, levy or duty payable on your ticket sales that you failed to pay.
This indemnity applies whether or not we also removed the Listing or suspended the Account. We will tell you promptly about a claim we intend to bring under it, and you may take over its defence with our written agreement.
15. Suspension, termination and survival
You may close your Account at any time. See the Data Deletion page for what happens to your records.
We may suspend or close an Account, remove a Listing, or restrict a feature where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms, fraud, spam, a threat to attendees or Organisers, a legal requirement, or a serious unresolved dispute. Where the situation allows it we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where it does not, for example live fraud, we may act immediately and explain afterwards. You can appeal, and a person will review the decision.
What survives termination. Sections 8 (fees already incurred), 11 (intellectual property and the licence to the extent stated there), 12 (disclaimers), 13 (limitation of liability), 14 (indemnity), 16 (governing law), 17 (dispute resolution) and 19 (miscellaneous) continue to apply after your Account closes. So do any obligation to complete a payout, a refund or a tax record already in progress.
16. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the platform, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
17. Dispute resolution
We would rather fix a problem than argue about it, so please follow these steps.
- Step one, talk to us. Send written notice of the dispute to hi@tickethub.ng setting out what happened and what you want. Both sides will negotiate in good faith. The receiving side has 30 days from the notice to respond and try to resolve it.
- Step two, arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved within those 30 days, it will be referred to and finally settled by arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 of Nigeria. The seat of the arbitration is Lagos, Nigeria. There will be one arbitrator, appointed by agreement between the parties, or failing agreement within 21 days, appointed on the application of either party in accordance with that Act. The language of the arbitration is English. The award is final and binding on both sides.
- Urgent relief. Nothing above stops either side from applying to a court of competent jurisdiction in Lagos for an injunction or other urgent interim relief, including to protect intellectual property, confidential information or funds, before or during the arbitration.
Each side bears its own costs of the negotiation stage. The arbitrator decides how the costs of the arbitration are allocated.
18. Third-party services and privacy
The platform relies on third parties, including Paystack for payments, Google for optional sign in and embedded maps, and our hosting and email providers. Your use of those services through us is also subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, who we share it with, and how cookies and similar technologies are used. It forms part of these terms.
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us on this subject and replace any earlier version.
- Severability. If a court or arbitrator finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is cut back only as far as needed and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer ours to an affiliate, or as part of a sale, merger or reorganisation of the business, provided your rights are not reduced.
- Force majeure. Neither side is liable for failing to perform because of something outside its reasonable control, including a power or internet failure, a payment provider or bank outage, industrial action, civil unrest, an act of government, a public health measure, a natural disaster, or a cyber attack. The affected side will tell the other as soon as it reasonably can.
- Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on your Account, or by a notice inside the product. You give us notice by email to hi@tickethub.ng. Notice is treated as received on the day it is sent, or the next business day if sent after business hours. Keep your email address current, because notice to a dead address still counts.
- No partnership. Nothing here makes either side the agent, partner or employee of the other.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. If a change materially affects your rights or our fees, we will give reasonable notice by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
