About This Event
As part of our mission to help Manufacturing Companies with their Lean Manufacturing System journeys GLODARIS TECHNOLOGIES in collaboration with Manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN) is holding its Maiden Nigeria Lean Manufacturing Conference/Workshop at NAF conference centre, Abuja, Nigeria.
THEME: Continuous improvement-when traditional ways of production just isn’t enough
WHY LEAN MANUFACTURING?
The Lean manufacturing system (founded on the Toyota Production System) is a management philosophy which shortens the time between the customer order and the product shipment by eliminating all inefficiencies (sources of waste). This it is ultimately reflected in terms of quality, delivery, cost and greater team morale, making a company capable to overcome bigger challenges and their competitors.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Maintaining high productivity and efficiency, manufacturing high quality products, ensuring timely delivery to market, reducing costs and making a profit - these are priorities to any manufacturing company. However, in today's competitive global economy, coupled with the demands and challenges being faced by the manufacturing industry, meeting these priorities has become burdensome to many.
To address these challenges, we are holding a 3 days Lean Manufacturing Workshop on February 18-20th, 2020. The themed for the workshop is “continuous improvement-when traditional ways of production just isn’t enough”.
THE GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP:
- To help companies navigate through difficult times. By showing them on how to create a seamless flow of people, material and information, method on how to reduce operating costs, eliminate waste, increase productivity, maintain high levels of quality and still make a profit.
- To show the manufacturing companies different approaches for identifying and eliminating waste in operations through continuous improvement for doing everything more efficiently and fulfilling the customers desire for maximum value at the lowest price.
- To provide Lean Manufacturing (Toyota Production System) course which is a way of identifying and focusing on value creation and getting rid of stuff (wastes) that doesn’t contribute to value in operations.
- This workshop on 'Lean Manufacturing' is for manufacturers who aim at becoming market leaders in their industry by implementing principles of 'Lean Manufacturing' in their organization. This workshop is designed for all kind of persons interested in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques for Continuous Improvement, that typically lead to reductions in cost, lead time and work-in-progress.
- During this workshop attendees will acquire the capability to recognise continuous improvement opportunities, as well as learning to choose the appropriate tools. The techniques described have been proven to be crucial to survive in the actual increasingly competitive global markets.
METHODS
Courses are given by highly qualified trainers, with practical knowledge, in professional conference training centre. Prior to the course an intake conversation can take place to define the participant(s) and the company's requirements. Presentations (theory and examples) as well as practical exercises bring the courses to life. Workshop courses are interactive; the trainer will always make sure the training contents link back to your situation.
WHY TO PARTICIPATE?
Many manufacturing companies do not understand that the typical plant hides 45% or greater profit loss through waste (MUDA) in their system.
This 3 days’ workshop is a practical way to present the Lean Manufacturing principles concepts and its implementation.
This program aims to develop participants, to really understand the lean principles (know why), and systems which support the behaviours of an operational excellence production, the structure and deployment strategy for an initial phase of a lean transformation, which systems must be deployed and which triggers must be developed, explaining how to measure the deployment based on behaviours, which will deliver good process and results in soft and hard benefits.
Some of the benefits: After the workshop participants will be able to help their companies to achieve the followings:
- Inventory reduction 50-90%
