About This Event
Sterling Bank and The Teaching Network Foundation present the Quarterly "Face to Face Training" Event aimed at building capacity for teachers.
Are you a 21st century educator with the desire to use technology to enthuse, engage and enrich learning?
Do you want to help your students achieve mastery in reading?
Come and engage with experts from Google at TTNF Quarterly Training Day Event on Saturday December 7th, 2019. Do you want to help your students achieve mastery in reading?
Google Bolo is a new Google AI-powered, free, offline, speech-based reading tutor app. The app listens as a developing reader reads aloud, and provides corrective feedback and targeted practice. The app encourages children to read aloud naturally and in the process also provides positive reinforcement.
When a child reads correctly, it gives positive feedback immediately
When a child reads incorrectly, it provides support proactively
It encourages reading aloud, the natural way to learn to read
While technology alone won’t ‘fix’ or improve education, Google is optimistic that it can be a powerful part of the solution, and wants to ensure that all teachers and students can benefit.
Teachers should come to the event with the app downloaded on their phones – see URL below: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.seekh [link redacted]
