Wetin My Eye Don See - Art Exhibition

Wetin My Eye Don See

In our search for the place where the sunlight shines, and the grass is greener, we have lost so much of ourselves. The hues that colored our lives and flavored our existence as brothers, sisters, friends, and lovers now color the blood of all that oppresses us.

Though we walk towards a great light, we stumble as those who are alone & unrooted in the dark. The sunlight we pursue has blinded us because we keep looking directly into it.

Wetin My Eye Don See looks to restore our presence of mind and inner sight. It’s a reclamation of all we’re losing to a bottomless hope- our colors and our relationships with others and ourselves. The purpose is so that we no longer stumble in the cold darkness but walk steadily towards our hope in the hands of love and the strength of community.
