Wetin My Eye Don See - The Play

Wetin My Eye Don See is an artistic dramatization of our shared memories of gloom and pain caused by unthinking religion, an oppressive government, and our struggles for the chance to speak our truth and be heard.

It’s about our shared struggles in search of the best versions of ourselves. It shows our collective self-destruction in pursuit of an ever-elusive and changing future while being irreverent of the present.

The play speaks to our collective blindness and demonstrates that sometimes, it’s our sunlight that blinds us as we keep looking directly into it. It speaks to our collective loneliness and tells us to stop, touch the grass and allow our hearts to be caressed by the slow but sure breeze. To reflect on how far we’ve come, and the tiny but many lights that warm our hearts.
